I love stories. Every couple has one. One of my favorite parts about being wedding photographer is meeting with newly engaged couples for the first time and hearing theirs. Victoria and Jared first met at a hockey game, and later on, were set up on a date by a family member. A year later Jared surprised Victoria with a proposal! She knew it was coming and was expecting him to ask on their vacation in Mexico, but just a week before leaving for their trip, she came home from work to a clean house, her favorite dinner, and a new sparkly diamond! How sweet!
These two soon to be married had their engagement session a couple of weeks ago and oh my! what an adventure it was! Truly wild and wonderful! They definitely did a great job choosing locations for their photos. Victoria grew up not too far from here, and Jared goes fishing nearby, so they were very familiar with the area, and I had no idea where I was!
County roads took us through some beautiful scenery of Marshall County, WV. From creeks and bridges to old barns and fields, all of those locations were so lovely, and I am so glad the weather cooperated and we were able to capture some gorgeous sun-kissed photos. One of the highlights of our adventure (at least for me :)) was that we got to see the biggest tree in West Virginia! Not only we got to see it, but we also took some beautiful photos next to it! How awesome is that!? The other highlight was a double wedding ring quilt that Victoria’s grandmother gave her parents when they got married! I just love personal touches like that! Heirlooms always make photos so unique. Just look at these two lovebirds wrapped up in it!
Victoria and Jared, I really enjoyed spending the time with you driving around our wild and wonderful state! Thank you for allowing me to capture this special season of your life! Can’t wait for your spring wedding!
Here are a few of my favorites from our time together!
