Samantha and Shawn went to the same middle school. They met in 6th grade and have been friends ever since! They drifted apart for a while, but little did they know that life will reconnect them later on and turn their friendship into something bigger. They got engaged on Christmas day surrounded by the closest family, and they will say ‘I do’ next October! What could be better than marrying your best friend, right?

Samantha and Shawn chose a beautiful fall afternoon for their engagement session, as well as a great location. I always love shooting at new locations, and Mingo Creek County Park did not disappoint. This park is huge, and there are so many beautiful backdrops for photos! They also wanted to take a few photos at the Pennsylvanian in Pittsburgh and of course, I was all in!

This engagement session was filled with lots of snuggles, smiles, and puppy kisses! Yes! Samantha and Shawn wanted to include their puppy in the session! And I will never say no to that! Because you know pets are family too! Their one-year-old German Shepherd Cali was so adorable and so full of energy! And look how cute Cali’s bandana is?! I bet she is pretty excited for her humans to get married!
