A few weeks ago, I packed my bags and drove to Northern Virginia to photograph my friend’s friend’s wedding! And you guys! It was a perfect wedding to wrap up my 2019 season! I mean, you know you serve the best couples when they treat you like a family. From the moment I walked into the door the day of the wedding to the next day brunch, I was welcomed with arms wide open.
Meranda and Eric tied a knot in a beautiful Mount Olivet United Methodist Church in Arlington, VA. Meranda looked like a princess walking down the aisle in her gorgeous ball gown and cathedral veil. And look at Eric. This is the face of a man who is about to marry the love of his life!
Not only Mount Olivet was a beautiful church to get married at, but it was also a very significant place for the couple. Eric’s dad was a pastor here, and Eric spent a lot of time at the church growing up. So having all of the photos taken near the church was important to them, and the church grounds created just the right backdrop for the portraits!
The reception at Lyon Park turned out to be the best celebration of two people on love. Surrounded by a sea of the bride and groom’s family and friends, the maid of honor, best man and parents took turns passing the microphone. One. Then the next. Each sharing childhood memories and some personal memories about a love story they got to witness from the front row. And oh my! Meranda and Eric are so perfect for each other! Their love is so radiant and so contiguous. You can feel it. No wonder they were so eager to get married that they planned their entire wedding in less than a year! And it turned out so so great, and I loved photographing every part of it!
Meranda and Eric, I certainly won’t forget your beautiful wedding day and the kindness you showed to me and everyone around you. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for trusting me to document the biggest day of your life together thus far. I hope you love looking back on these memories as much as I loved capturing them for you.
